If the player understands common game design conventions then yes, these types of tutorial windows are pointless and unnecessarily slowdown the game. But a lot of people need this level of assistance that stops the game outright to show and explain to this degree as they may be just a casual enjoyer of games or brand new to the medium. You cant just say "no one needs this" because youre not everyone, you're making assumptions that are far too biased towards our subconscious knowledge of games. Most games nowadays have the ability to turn off tutorials so if you dont wanna see it then just do it yourself.

The biggest problem was the demons. The story could've dived into the demons instead of making all of them one dimensional villains. Towards the end of the story, there is a demon who is just randomly on the side of the good guys and it comes out of nowhere. We could've had the demons engaged in a civil war or something like that, but nope.

Why is everyone making this about sexism who gives af the actual problems with this series are that the story telling is awful, the characters are awful and the power system is, you guessed it, awful.

Demon Slayer is a masterclass of emotional manipulation. Yes, its battle system is poorly thought out. It doesn't expand on the world to the level of its contemporaries. It's characters are relatively flat. But lacking these things doesn't make it bad, or not meaningful as a piece of entertainment. Demon Slayer is special because it makes you feel DESPITE what the rules of good writing would suggest. Deeply logical people aren't going to see the value in a show that appeals to your emotions. I don't think it's fair to criticize and label Demon Slayer as objectively bad, not when so many people from all walks of life can appreciate it for what it is.
