I still love demon slayer. Even though it has flaws, its still my no. 1 fav anime of all time. I've been struggling with anxiety and depression for months and ever since I've started to watch and read demon slayer, my life changed I became so happy, so joyful and so entertained. This anime helped me overcome my pain and anxiety. I don't care what you guys say. Demon slayer is my no. 1 fav anime of all time 😊❤🔥⚔

Real. I think that Chainsaw Man anime COMPLEMENTS the manga, for example. The way the anime chose to build psych profiles for certain characters differs a bit to the panels in the manga. But they're not in competition with eachother. The anime scenes are like a domain expansion (to borrow JJK terms) of the manga panels. Honestly, it's a fucking beautiful symbiosis

Sadly, Emil just has too much damn hubris, and this is a criticism my younger brother has made often since he's a big fan of Elder Scrolls, and Emil has just about always been the reason recent Bethesda games have such piss poor stories. And really, after this game here, I'm not very confident on how good Elder Scrolls VI will be (if we ever hear anything about it, that is).

As I hear more and more people describing what they like in Skyrim I've come to realize I had this experience with another game back in my youth. It was Might & Magic 6 : the mandate of heaven, at the time to me it felt like magic, an open world full of characters and quest and things to explore and discover. That probably explain why I only ever thought of Skyrim as "Meh", to me it was just an other Might and Magic with nicer graphics and games like Fallout (the first, not Bethesda's monstrosity) and Baldur's gate had put my expectation for an RPG way higher that anything BGS ever made..

I really appreciate this video and it's what introduced me to your content a year ago. I can't say I like all of your videos, but this and the recent Starfield one is keeping me around. I hope to see more like these two, because personally I have had a hard time getting into anime and games as much as I had before for quality reasons - but not without my own opinion on what I enjoy of course. These help put my own feelings about them into words where I cannot, although I recognize certain patterns and choices that ultimately lead to my disliking for a show, where these issues are typically bad writing, characters, etc. Hope to see one like this for Jujutsu Kaisen some day, as I feel like that show has similar issues.

Thank you for putting into words my problem with Rengoku. I don't watch Demon Slayer (but I love video essays!), my friend loves the anime and he gushed to me about how amazing Rengoku was and how the character made him realize the kind of heroes he looked up to in media. That got me psyched and we planned a day to watch all of the Rengoku episodes and the movie he was in. You can imagine my surprise when it turns out that Rengoku barely made a dent in the grand scheme of the show, and just like you said, all I got out of the character was that he was a generic "good boy." I felt so bad and I really tried to understand what my friend saw in Rengoku, because I just found him so flat and boring, and his death made me feel nothing. And my friend had acted like I had missed the point, "He's selfless! And look how heroic he is!" And sure, he sacrificed himself to protect others, but... so do so many other characters who really earn that heroic sacrifice. I'm glad you brought up flawed characters, because I love Kratos and that's the kind of character I grapple to! A hero who earns their wins and their sacrifices, one you can look up to, someone who strives to overcome their faults, reckoning with their weaknesses and striving to be better. Rengoku was good and he loved food and... that's about it. Tons of people like him, but I think I can chalk that up now to just being a likable character. Not interesting, but he's a good guy. But, much like you, I think I'll stick with the flawed heroes. They make for a much better story and a better done character arc.

If I've become more demanding as a gamer, then I wouldn't find it fun to play old games. Yet it's quite the opposite. I have more fun playing old games. Even old games I've never played before.

Imagine an organization like the demon slayer corps, an established organization meant to "protect" humans, has a clear rank structure, but only consists of 9 elite hashiras and the rest are canon fodders. How can an organization work like that? Where are the high ranking demon slayers (Kinoto and Kinoue ranks)? Tokyo alone is 2100ish square km and only 9 USEFUL people is supposed to protect it? What about the rest of the country? It's amazing that the existence of demons aren't well known considering the many disappearances and the small zone of activity of the corps.

Which is an actual walking simulator crammed with flashbacks, filler content, pointless story arcs that result in nothing, bland 1 dimensional characters, overpowered plot armor and trivial, non important plot points - like doing laundry or gardening... It's actual trash, completely designed to waste as much time as possible on useless and pointless "side quests" - all while everyone bends over backwards to call it a masterpiece... Uhhh.

I think Sun breathing should be the base form of breathing, and the other forms are built off of it. It would explain why the swords aren't necessarily "special", because the power of the sun is coming from the user. You could write it in that Tanjiro is always passively using Sun breathing due to the ceremonial dance his family has, and that's why he gets recruited as a Demon Slayer trainer instead of his apparent combat prowess

I thought I was the only one struggling to get into this, but this explanation makes perfect sense. It feels like most of its popularity comes from the animation alone, and the fans I know who are really into it tend to be more into surface-level stuff in general.

The combat in this anime is like ff16 in the sence that wind, fire, water, etc. are irrelevant since enemies don't take elemental damage.

I vaguely remember hearing somewhere that it's a lot safer to write down passwords in a physical document rather than a digital one, because you're much more likely to experience a digital data leak or getting hacked than someone breaking into your home. So if you're gonna write your passwords down, use the sticky note method.

Thank you for the video. The thing about Mr. Hope is that the game has non lethal weapons, the EMP ones i think. I though I could knock out Mr. Hope and perhaps take him to the Council for great justice but no. You can stun him but he HAS to be killed. So much for player choice 😅

I found your previous video after reading about the rumors of them remake/remastering Oblivion. I never bothered to play any Bethesda game after skyrim and FO4. I abandoned FO4, simply due to the sheer lack of reason & logic behind any of the factions and the destroyed lore established from all the previous FO titles so I really never touched it after a 2nd play through. They all did the same thing, the all went to the same places and they all generally send a complete noob (OR THEIR RESPECTED GENERAL) of the organization to do the dangerous/important dirty work.....Seriously? With only thing interesting me in FO4 was PA not the story I felt like there was something off. Now that I know there is so so much wrong with FO4 I just dont touch it anymore. Skyrim had this issue but it was less noticeable due to the world setting/lore and immediate importance place on the player. My expectation of the FO tv show was on the gound and they still managed to hit below it. Bethesda will either live or die on their next title given their track record of the past decade. I just don't see how they can see FO76/ESO as being successful at this point. While I like the "concept and lore" added by ESO, an MMO is not what I think of when I think about playing a Bethesda game. I think of Oblivion/Daggerfall or Skyrim. A singleplayer game with good storylines. I am glad someone is pointing out their crap and going through how their games in detail highlighting those issues. Honestly If Bethesda required their writers and developers to sit down and watch youtube videos reviewing their games in this much detail... They might be able to rub together enough brain cells to understand how far they have fallen. And Bethesda in the 1 in a billion chance your reading this. DONT TOUCH OBLIVION IN ANY REGARDS! Just let SkyBlivion do its thing. You end skyblivion then you have lost that little faith I and (I bet) alot of players had in you. I will never buy your silly horse armor again. Ill just play the original than pay for a game I already own. Also how are you not on their team? Instead of hiring the brainless morons to write their stories with the quality level of an basic ai, they need to get people like you or The Omega Initiative to do it. People who can show the required level of critical thinking and show the creativity to use to it to make a good game. The only hard part of game design is coming up the idea/story and bug testing it once you got it in place. Difficulty of building the game after the story is written out is just manhours. With technology and game development as it is now, its okay to make a game complicated or hard or low graphics in favor of story and game mechanics. Look at daggerfall! Look at Oblivion!

To add to the "chosen one" part... Tanjiro somehow uses Sun Breathing despite not being taught how to do it, from what I can tell. I suppose you could say he figured it out because of him learning Water Breathing, and all of them are essentially the same. However, I find ot hard to believe that he learned a different way of breathing just by watching a dance...
